The Xinnuo Hydraulic Decoiler — the automatic steel coil uncoiler that feeds every cold roll forming line — is offered in two capacity classes engineered for the full spectrum of steel processing operations in the Middle East: the 5-ton class and the 10-ton class. These two capacity tiers are not simply larger versions of the same machine; they represent distinct engineering configurations matched to distinct production realities. The 5-ton class serves the majority of standard roll forming applications — C/Z purlin lines, single-layer roof panel lines, composite panel lines requiring dual decoilers (one for the upper skin coil, one for the lower), and floor deck production lines where the A-frame configuration with hydraulic expansion handles 3–5-ton coils with the extended height required for coil loading. The 10-ton class serves the heavy end of the market — high-volume purlin production on flagship CZ/CZU lines, wide-format panel production, and factories processing large-diameter, high-weight coils whose longer uncoiling runs between coil changes directly translate to higher machine utilization and lower per-ton handling cost. (10-ton class configuration details — footprint, mandrel dimensions, and hydraulic power unit — are project-engineered per customer coil specifications; please provide coil weight, ID, OD, and width at inquiry for an exact quotation.)

The hydraulic designation covers two critical functions that define the machine’s operational quality. First, hydraulic coil gripping: the mandrel carries a hydraulically actuated expansion mechanism that grips the coil’s inner diameter with a controlled radial force, holding the coil concentric on the mandrel axis from the first wrap to the last. The gripping force is set by hydraulic system pressure — consistent, operator-independent, and maintained continuously through the entire uncoiling run regardless of vibration or coil weight reduction as the coil unwinds. This concentric grip is the foundation of strip feed stability: a coil that rotates eccentrically on its mandrel causes the strip to oscillate laterally entering the forming stations, producing edge-wander that degrades profile accuracy piece by piece. The hydraulic expansion eliminates this at its source. Second, tension control: an integrated brake system applies adjustable back-tension to the coil rotation — set by the operator for the material thickness being run, or managed automatically by the PLC on automated lines — preventing the free-wheeling and surging that produce strip loops, kinks, and stretched thin-gauge material. The brake system is sized to the capacity class: the 10-ton class carries proportionally larger braking capacity to control the higher rotational inertia of heavy coils through every line start, stop, and speed change.

The structural configuration follows the proven Xinnuo architecture. The cantilever decoiler (悬臂式) serves the lighter end of the 5-ton class with its compact footprint — the most widely deployed configuration in the industry. The A-frame decoiler (三角架/A型架式) handles the heavy end of the 5-ton class and the full 10-ton class: its three-point tripod geometry and inclined loading arms distribute the coil mass across a wide support base, accept coils by crane or coil car with guided positioning, and — on the heavy-duty configurations — integrate hydraulic coil-loading assistance that reduces the physical effort and time of every coil change. On the floor deck production line, the A-frame decoiler configuration is specified at 1,450mm width and 6,500mm height to accommodate heavy 3–5-ton coils and their crane-based loading; the corresponding workshop requires a minimum ceiling height of 7 meters for decoiler lifting and a reinforced concrete floor rated at 800 kg/m² or above. These are the real operational conditions that Middle East floor deck and heavy purlin producers plan for, and the Xinnuo decoiler range is engineered to those realities.

For the Middle East market, three adaptations distinguish the Xinnuo decoiler. First, climate engineering: the hydraulic power unit and circuits are specified with sealed components and a cooling circuit for high-ambient-temperature operation — a steel coil sitting in a 48°C+ GCC factory workshop for hours before uncoiling reaches the same ambient temperature, and the hydraulic system must operate reliably in that heat. Second, coil-source flexibility: Middle East factories source coils from multiple origins — China, Turkey, India, and emerging local production — with varying coil ID, OD, and weight specifications. The Xinnuo decoiler’s mandrel expansion range is factory-configured to the customer’s coil specification set, and we recommend providing the full range of coil dimensions at inquiry so the machine accepts every coil your suppliers deliver. Third, integration and support: the decoiler’s PLC interface (where fitted) integrates with the line’s Delta PLC architecture for synchronized start/stop, tension setpoint communication, and fault interlock; on-site installation and commissioning are performed by senior Xinnuo engineers; and the 24/7 WeChat/WhatsApp channel provides remote troubleshooting with spare parts delivered via DHL express to ports and industrial hubs across the GCC and wider Middle East.

The machine carries Hebei Xinnuo’s complete quality credentials: 28-year manufacturing history, ISO 9001:2015 certified processes, CE certification issued by an EU Notified Body under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, 14-year Alibaba Gold Supplier verification with SGS/TÜV factory audits, and National High-Tech Enterprise certification. Whether the 5-ton class serves as the entry point of a new production line or the 10-ton class anchors an expansion of existing capacity, the Xinnuo hydraulic decoiler is engineered to deliver the same standard: material enters the forming machine straight, centered, and under controlled tension — the condition in which the forming machine’s precision was designed to work.

    ♦ COMPANY PROFILE:

Hebei Xinnuo Roll Forming Machine Co., Ltd., not only produce different types of professional roll forming machines, but also develop intelligent automatic roll forming production lines, C&Z shape purline machines, highway guardrail roll forming machine lines, sandwich panel production lines, decking forming machines, light keel machines, shutter slat door forming machines, downpipe machines, gutter machines, etc.

Advantages of Roll Forming A Metal Part

There are several advantages of using roll forming for your projects:

    • The roll forming process allows operations such as punching, notching, and welding to be performed in-line. Labor cost and time for secondary operations are reduced or eliminated, reducing part costs.
    • Roll form tooling allows for a high degree of flexibility. A single set of roll form tools will make almost any length of the same cross-section. Multiple sets of tools for varying length parts are not required.
    • It can provide better dimensional control than other competing metal forming processes.
    • Repeatability is inherent in the process, allowing easier assembly of roll formed parts into your finished product, and minimizing problems due to “standard” tolerance build up.
    • Roll forming is typically a higher speed process.
    • Roll forming offers customers a superior surface finish. This makes roll forming an excellent option for decorative stainless steel parts or for parts requiring a finish such as anodizing or powder coating. Also, texture or pattern can be rolled into the surface during forming.
    • Roll forming utilizes material more efficiently than other competing processes.
    • Roll formed shapes can be developed with thinner walls than competing processes

Roll forming is a continuous process which converts sheet metal into an engineered shape using consecutive sets of mated rolls, each of which makes only incremental changes in the form. The sum of these small changes in form is a complex profile.
